TriStar's collaboration with a major pharmaceutical company led to the use of Rulon® 641 in mechanical face seals, traditionally made of carbon, ceramic, or high metals. The switch was driven by the need to reduce noise, improve wear life, and comply with FDA and USP Class VI regulations. Rulon® 641 was chosen for its suitability in both wet and dry conditions.
