Hot alkaline detergent and sanitizer were rapidly washing grease from conveyor and roller bearings in a food-processing crate washer, creating frequent relubrication and contamination concerns. TriStar recommended self-lubricating TriSteel™ PT bearings, combining a PTFE wear surface with metal-backed support to eliminate added lubrication and provide a bearing system that can be configured for the specific wash chemistry.
