Poultry chiller conveyors operate continuously with shaft bearings submerged in cold, chlorinated process water and exposed to daily CIP cleaning. When greased bronze bushings suffered grease washout and corrosion, TriStar recommended self-lubricating Rulon® 1439. The FDA-compliant filled-PTFE material eliminates external lubrication, withstands typical CIP solutions, and can be machined to the existing bearing envelope.
