Self-Lubricating Bearings
Performance in the Toughest Environments
Self-lubricating bearings require less maintenance, perform better in dirty and high-heat environments, and handle higher load capacities than most traditional plastic or metal bearings.
Self-lubricating bearings perform extremely well in a variety of applications where excessive friction is a concern. The bearing is manufactured with a flexible tape backing or a metallic backing that utilizes a wear resistant PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethylene) polymer with appropriate fillers to give the material the specific properties required by a self-lubricating bearing. These properties alter its strength and friction coefficient allowing it to be used with rotational, oscillatory, and axial sliding motions in a range of industries and environments.
With thousands of bearings in stock and on-site custom fabrication and manufacturing capabilities, TriStar has the solution to your toughest bearing problems.
